Extra info added to My School website

It’s interesting to see the government is preventing the newspapers from making league tables, as that is one of the the major complaints against the My School system… but it is good to see the government is putting more information in about the socio-economic backgrounds of the students and the schools, which will put the results of things like the NAPLAN test into context… after all, if the students are in a low socio-economic area, can you really expect them to have above standard results… and if they’re in a remote area, maybe they don’t have as much use for some of the categories?

And almost like a postscript or a by the way, right at the end of the article was mention of a National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence in schools on the third Friday in March each year, with the first on March 18 next year.
